PEKIN -- Glenn J. Dismang, 80, of 7037 N. Monon, Chicago, formerly of the Pekin and Peoria areas, died Monday, June 17, 1996, at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago.

Born Aug. 4, 1915, in Peoria, he married Janey M. Starr. She died Aug. 9, 1990. He later married Betty Coken. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Robert Dismang of Chicago; one stepson, James Coken; two daughters, Amy Wyrober and Patricia Sherlock; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A truck driver, he worked for various trucking companies.

A World War II veteran, he was a survivor of the USS Yorktown at the Battle of Midway.

He was a member of Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur.

He was a past president of the Teamsters Local 627 Retirees and the Leaning Tower YWCA Seniors Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Abts Mortuary, where visitation will be two hours before services. The Rev. James King will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Pekin.
