Cyril Percy Keeble was born on November 19, 1937 in Waubay, SD to Jacob and Ida (Eagle) Keeble. He attended school at Fort Thompson and Enemy Swim Day School. He served the United States Air Force from August 16, 1955 to June 13, 1957. He had a common law marriage with Hazel Spotted Eagle for fourteen years. Cyril adopted her seven children. They resided at Lake Andes, SD. He worked at Sioux Falls Hospital as a custodian, and then worked at various places as a jack of all trades. He also worked at a trucking company in Omaha, NE. Later he worked for Enemy Swim Elderly as a driver and he received an Appreciation Award from Calvin Randell for helping Elders in the Enemy Swim Community. Cyril passed away on May 6, 2013 at the Sanford Hospital, Webster, SD. Cyril is survived by six adopted children, Morris Drupo from Lake Andes, SD, Betty Bernie of Lake Andes, SD, Marie Fredricks of Des Moines, IA, Marvin Surak, of Wagner, SD, Barbara Ross of Sioux Falls, SD, and Roxanne Spotted Eagle of Avon, SD; one sister, Virginia Thiel of Watertown, SD; two brothers, Sylvester Yellowback of Sisseton, SD, and Moses Keeble of Waubay, SD; two adopted sisters, Mary Keeble and Kathleen Tulowetzk of Waubay, SD; two adopted brothers, Arthur Keeble and Gabriel Keeble of Waubay, SD. Cyril was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Dianne; one brother, Jacob; and one adopted son Frankie.
