Funeral services for Amanda Margaret Buckman, 91, of Shelbina were held Monday at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Shelbina. Msgr. Joseph Bugler officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Shelbina.
Mrs. Buckman died Friday afternoon in a Macon hospital.
She was born May 17, 1889 in Easton, Mo., to Albert W. and Lottie Harris Allgaier Buckman. She married Pius Buckman Feb. 5, 1970 [sic]. He died March 12, 1971.
She is survived by one son, A. D. Buckman of Kansas City; two daughters, Mrs. Lottie Chick of Kansas City and Mrs. Margaret Jarboe of St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Freeman of Tipton and Mrs. Ada West of Buckner; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives.
Mrs. Buckman was a member of St. Mary's Church and was a member of the Altar Society. She was also a member of the M.F.A. Farm Club. She lived in Shelbina from 1898 until her death.
Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina had charge of arrangements. The rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
