Mrs. Sarah Reese Died At Sonoraville Monday
One of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of Gordon county passed away early Monday morning when Mrs. Sarah Reese died at the home of her son, Mr. Augustus Reese, near Sonoraville. She was the wife of the late T. J. Reese, who preceded her to the grave several years ago.
Mrs. Reese had joined the Baptist church in early life and had been a consistent member of that church ever since. At the time of her death she was a member of the Bethlehem church.
Mrs. Reese lived to be eighty-seven years old and was the mother of one of the largest families in the county, having borne fifteen children, all of whom lived to maturity, and twelve of whom survive her. The survivors are: Mrs. Lenora Everette, Mrs. Lou Prestridge, Mrs. Cornelia Griffith, Mrs. Roseun Penn, Mrs. Ida Ellis, Mrs. Lillie Hubbard, Mrs. Nell Perry, and Messurs. Augustus Reese, Frank Reese and Gordon L. Reese. Deceased children are: Charity Reese, Willie Reese and Henrietta Lewis.
Mrs. Reese was laid to rest beside her husband in Bethlehem cemetery. E. L. Jackson & Sons directors.
