Convicted as half of the ".22 Caliber" team along with brother Gary Lewingdon. Suspected of killing 10 people although the final murder was believed to have been carried by his brother alone. The murders had the Central Ohio area under siege from December 1977 through December 1978. The two were caught in December 1978 when Gary used a victim's credit card to purchase Christmas presents at a discount department story. Many theorize Gary had remorse and used the credit card in order to be caught.

Thaddeus had attended some electronic classes and held a first-class Federal Communications Commission engineer's license, now equivalent to a GROL license. At the time of his arrest Thaddeus was working for Columbus Steel Drum as maintenance man.

Thaddeus died of lung cancer at the prison medical center in Orient, Ohio. His remains were released to the Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis, Ohio. At the request of those who contracted the funeral home no information has been released. Burial is unknown...WilliamNeill
