Edward J. Brown, 83, of 3414 Canby St., Susquehanna Twp., died Monday in Dauphin Manor.

He was a retired insurance agent; a member of Bishop J.W. Shanahan Fourth Degree General Assembly; a past grand knight and honorary life-member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Rosary, Council 869; a former district governor for the Knights of Columbus; and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife, Nathalie S. Brown; four sons, Gregory A. of Anchorage, Alaska, Richard K. of Washington, and Edward Jr. and Paul, both of Harrisburg; two daughters, Mary E. Santoni and Nathalie A., both of Harrisburg; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in his church by the Rev. Joseph A. Ryan. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.
