Doris L. Arington, age 73, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at 1:32 a.m. at her residence. She was a native of Kentucky and worked as a beautician for the Paducah-McCracken County Senior Citizens. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paducah.
Surviving are her daughter, Sherry Turner of Paducah; her son, Gregory Arington of Paducah; four grandchildren, Jennifer Engelland, Jeff Arington, Jamie Arington and Thad Turner, all of Paducah; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Riley, Matthew Riley and Samantha Engelland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verle S. Puckett and Birdie Deweese Puckett, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, at the Keeling Family Funeral Home, 2410 Jackson St., Paducah, with Dr. Tom Quimby and Dr. Shawn Wasson officiating. Burial will follow in the Zoar Cemetery in Carlisle County. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, July 20, 2006, from 5 to 9 p.m.
