Mother Bobbie Lee Gilbert, was the daughter of the late John Henry Davis & Anna Lee Ates also the daughter-in-law of late Thomas Henry Gilbert & Louisa Ann Smith also of Hawkinsville, Georgia; She was later born and raised in Cochran, Georgia on Monday, September 29, 1921.
She grew up in Bleckley County, Georgia, where she was educated at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Cochran, Georgia, and later she became a christian at an early age.
She later met & married the late James Henry Gilbert in Miami, Florida in March 1959, where they later settled their family in Liberty City in Miami, Florida, where to this union was born three loving daughters Luisa Gilbert Simmons, Earnestine Gilbert and Bertina Gilbert Sheffield all of Miami, Florida the deep south, and they all joined Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Florida. until God later called her home on Wednesday, October 9, 1991 at 67 years of age.
