Jan 6, 1912 - May 10, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Florence, 101, was called to her Heavenly home on May 10, 2013. She was born Jan. 6, 1912, at home in Olive, OK to John W. and Vida Holeman. Florence obtained her Teaching Certificate from State Teachers College (now UCO) and taught for several years at Olive School. In 1933, Florence married Howard E. Yokley and settled in the Oklahoma City area. That union produced five sons and one daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and eight sisters. She leaves cherished memories with her loving children, Howard Yokley & wife Pat, Troy Yokley & wife Carolyn, Roy Yokley & wife Erma, Bob Yokley & wife Linda, Susan Cochran & husband Ken, and Larry Yokley; brother, John Holeman; sister, Lorene Fine; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 4-8 p.m. Monday at Vondel Smith Mortuary S. Lakes, with the family greeting friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Services to celebrate her life will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Shartel Church of God, 11600 S. Western Ave. Burial will follow at Heritage Burial Park at S. Lakes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Center of Family Love in Okarche, Oklahoma. Friends may leave condolences for the family at vondelsmithmortuary.com.
