MR. ARLINGTGON F. AYRES, 80, formerly of 1623 Timber Lane, Hagerstown died Saturday, May 14, at the Ravenwood Lutheran Village. Born July 18, 1907, in Brunswick, he was a son of the late Wallie and Pearl Holmes Ayres.

Mr. Ayres was employed with the B&O Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 1962. He was a member of the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church and the United Transportation Union Local 0631.

Surviving in addition to his wife, T. Jane Ayres; are one sister, Catherine Guessford of Hialeah, Fla.; and one brother, Leonard Ayres of Middletown.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Rest Haven Cemetery. The Rev. Richard A. Gross will officiate. There will be no viewing.
