"MORGANTOWN, WEST VIRGINIA: L. Ted Moore, former faculty member in the Department of Industrial Engineering at West Virginia University, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2002 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown, West Virginia. Private family interment will be held at a later date in Voss, Texas, at the convenience of the family.

"He was born June 6, 1939 in Sweetwater, Texas, the son of Jimmie and the late Winston Moore. Prior to going to WVU in 1976, he taught at South Texas Junior College and the University of Houston at Houston, Texas. He retired as Professor of Industrial Engineering in 1997. A 1957 graduate of Abilene High School, in Abilene, Texas, he earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Abilene Christian University, a Master's Degree in Physics from the University of Houston and a PhD. in Applied Mathematical Sciences from Rice University, Houston.

"He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Charlene, of Morgantown; his mother and stepfather, Jimmie and Joe Moore of Abilene; his son, Tom of Baltimore, Maryland; and a brother, Tim of Abilene. He was preceded in death by his father, Winston, "Slim Willet" Moore in 1966.

"Donations may be made in his memory to a charity of donor's choice."
