He was born in Cadillac, Michigan July 21, 1921.
He married Lillian Patterson on April 12, 1941 in [Bellaire, Michigan], she died April 12, 1980.
He attended schools in Cadillac, owned and operated Beals Plumbing in Cadillac.
He was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union at Lansing for many years, was a veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post and the Moose Lodge at Fort Myers.
Surviving are 2 children, Katherine, wife of District Judge Thomas Donnellan of Flint, Michigan and Barbara Spain of Birmingham, Alabama; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Donnellan of Flint, Patricia Donnellan of Flint and George S. Spain. Also surviving are 3 sisters, Mrs. Arlene Meyer of Elk Rapids, Michigan, Norma (Mrs. Robert) Drake of Mecosta, Michigan and Mrs. Betty Ballish of West Branch, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held Wed., 1 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home, Cadillac, Michigan with Rev. Carl Benander officiating. Burial at Maple Hill Cemetery, Cadillac. Memorial tributes may be made to the Michigan Heart Association.
