She had worked as a hairdresser for many years, retiring in 1994.
Viola Rosalie Rector married Edward Schneckloth in 1949 in Davenport. He died in 1988.
She enjoyed bowling and flower gardening.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah (Mrs. Joe) Schertz, Rising Sun, Md.; a son, Dean, Bennett, Iowa; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Rice, New London, Iowa; and a brother, Darrell Rector, Davenport.
