Lila was born October 24, 1905, to Christian Anderson and Martha Christensen Anderson. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley, then attended Ricks College.
Lila married her eternal companion, Parley Andrew Arave, on December 8, 1926, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Blackfoot, where she was a homemaker, wife, and mother. Parley passed away January 30, 1992. After her husband's death she moved to Idaho Falls to be near her daughter.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served with her husband when he was called as President of the Western Canadian Mission. Parley served as President of the Blackfoot LDS Stake for many years and she served faithfully by his side. She also served as Temple Matron of the Idaho Falls Temple. She enjoyed oil painting, petit point knitting, crocheting, tatting, and spending time with her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving: one daughter, one sister, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren [names deleted]
Preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and ten brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, October 1, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS Sunnyside 1st Ward, 3721 Shadow Mountain Trail, with Bishop Karl Decker officiating.
