Daniel Lee Edwards, 18, was killed April 15th in a freak accident at his home near Poplar Creek. He and a friend were working on an automobile, which started up unexpectedly and ran into the youth.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, at the Bethel Methodist Church. Officiating were Mr. Dan Beardain and Rev. C. F. Anglin. Burial was in the church cemetery, with Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Katie Leonard, French Camp; a brother, Thomas Edwards of French Camp; and a sister, Mrs. Lucile Tyler, Modesto, California.
Pallbearers were Dennis Pullen, Claude King, Bobby Youngblood, Eddie Herod, James W. Youngblood, and Donnie Grice.
