Clyde Irving Corbin, was born to John Anderson Corbin, and Catherine (Spurrier) Corbin, in Kansas on August 14, 1884.

Clyde married a lady named Fay H. Nichols, who had three children from a previous marriage. They were married and lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where in 1910, he worked as a waiter at a Colorado Springs Hotel. Later, by 1920 he was employed by a dairy there as a truck driver.

Clyde and Fay divorced sometime before 1930, and he moved back to Oklahoma, and was living with his widowed mother in Tonkawa, Kay, Oklahoma. At this time Clyde was listed as being divorced and not working.

By 1935 Clyde was married to Charlotte E.(Hobbs)Smith. She was a widow.
