Ruth Tharp, 91, of Henrietta, Texas, formerly of Spickard, Mo., and Jamesport, Mo., died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in Henrietta, Texas.
Funeral services were held at the Cowboy Church in Henrietta, Texas, with Rev. Larry Miller, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Tharp was born April 22, 1916 in Chillicothe, Mo., the daughter of Rev. Carl Lee and Ruth (Beever) Simpson.
She was a dietician and also a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Alden Tharp, Henrietta, Texas and Steven Tharp of Wyoming; a daughter, Belinda Palisoc, Alaminos, Philippines; nine granchildren and 15 great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Myron Tharp; son Ronald Tharp, and grandaughter, Tracey Tharp.
Graveside services will be held in Trenton, Mo., at the Resthaven Cemetery on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 10 a.m. Pastor Eduardo Palisoc and Brent Spray will officiate.
