Lloyd R. Atkins died Sunday, May 12, 2013. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Galbreaith Pickard. Interment in Central Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Galbreaith Pickard. Lloyd was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Soper, Okla., to Ruby and Harold Atkins. Mr. Atkins was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He retired after 35 years with the city of Fort Worth as an electrician. Lloyd was a member of North Side Baptist Church and a charter member of the Central Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors: Wife, Billie; son, Larry and wife, Linda; granddaughter, Angela Atkins; and sisters, Nellene Hull and Francis Adams.
