Wanda Irene Cook, 93, died May 12, 2013 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT, with her family by her side,.

She was born September 16, 1919 in Roosevelt, UT the daughter of Erastus and Eliza Workman.

She married Thomas Albert Cook, in Duchesne, UT, on March 30, 1935 by the Justice of the Peace. There marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, UT, in August 1958.

Wanda, with her husband, Tom, were Dry Watchers on drilling rigs in WY, Coal Miners, Ranchers, and helped build the Flaming Gorge Dam. They raised their family in the Price-Wellington, UT area and then Wanda moved her 5 children to Manila, UT in 1947. She later moved to Mountain View, WY in 1993 where she resided at the time of her death.

She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served a mission from 1986-1987 with the Indians in the Arizona area. She was also able to help support many missionaries fulfill their callings during each of their two year missions.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, and gardening.

Survivors include daughters Yvonne Hansen and husband Wayne of Mountain View, WY, Connie Reed of Rock Springs, WY, Delores Amen and husband Dallas of Clawson, UT; sons Larry Cook and wife Joannie, of Clawson, UT, Dean Cook and wife Susan of McKinnon, WY; 17 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 53 great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tom Cook; 3 brothers, Orvil, Arland and Rex Workman; 1 sister Ellen Workman Mead; 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
