Death Claims W. B. Bledsoe.
Mr. Warren B. Bledsoe, Treasurer of Chambers County, and a prominent citizen of this place, died at his home here last Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock, after a lingering illness. He suffered a stroke of paralysis last year and had been in feeble health since that time.
Mr. Bledsoe was in his seventy-first year, and was raised in this county. He was a Confederate veteran, having been a member of the famous West Point Guards. In 1908 he was elected to the office of Treasurer of Chambers County, and was serving the county in that capacity at the time of his death.
The deceased is survived by his wife and son, Mr. W. W. Bledsoe, of Georgetown, Ga. The remains were interred in the Antioch Cemetery last Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. D. I. Purser, Jr., conducting the services.
In the death of Mr. Bledsoe the town has lost one of her best citizens and the county a faithful, efficient official.
