Lester Millen Yancey was born February 3, 1925 to Clyde Yancey & Minnie Edwards and passed away February 17, 2011 in Mesquite, TX. Lester was a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force from September 1, 1948 to 1962. After 14 years of dedicated service, Lester was honorably discharged and attended watch making school. In 1966 he started his own jewelry business in San Antonio, TX, and after 20 years, he sold it and retired. In 1998 Lester moved to Mesquite, TX to be close to his daughter. Lester is survived by his daughter, 2 grandsons, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ola Mae Yancey and 10 siblings. Visitation was 4:30-6:30pm Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home. Graveside service was 10:00am Monday, February 28, 2011 at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park.
