Edwin P. Eichelberger, Sr., 60, of Streator, IL passed away May 22, 2005 at his home. Born November 17, 1944 in Streator son of Edwin and Ruth (Sliker) Eichelberger. Married Pat Younker on November 20, 1965.
Survived by his wife, Pat (Younker) Eichelberger; three children, Tania (Jim) Kolodziej of Streator, Edwin P. (Racheal) Eichelberger, Jr. of Ottawa and Tara (Brian) Phillips of Streator; three sisters, Shirley (Raymond) Leslie of Streator, Arleen (O. Donald) Henderson of Streator and Laura Davis of Kewanee, IL; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Army veteran serving in Vietnam, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Battalion, 505th Infantry, 82nd Airborne. Employed at Caterpillar in Aurora prior to his illness. Life member of the Am Vets Post 312, V.F.W. 1492 and American Legion Post 217. Member of Grace United Methodist Church, Streator. Attended Ottawa High School.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Wednesday at Winterrowd Funeral Home of Streator. Rev. Mark Canada of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors. Visitation Wednesday 9am-12 Noon at the funeral home.
