Joshua Jerome Donaldson, of rural Dixon, was born November 16, 1971, at Petosky, Michigan, a son of David Earl and Linda Marie (Slack) Donaldson, and died, Thursday, May 2, 2013, at his residence near Dixon. Josh had attained the age of 41 years, 5 months, and 17 days.
Josh was united in marriage on September 28, 1997, at Lake Ozark, to Amy Leahann Bowman, and to this union, two children were born. He was preceded in death by his wife on January 7, 2001; his paternal-step-grandfather, Wilfred (Grandpa Mac) MacDonnell; and maternal grandfather, William J. Slack.
He was baptized early in life while attending the First Christian Church, Dixon, and enjoyed hunting, camping with his family, and being outdoors.
Those left to mourn the passing of Josh include: one son, Stormy River Donaldson, and one daughter, Brook Spring Donaldson, both of the home near Dixon; his father, David Donaldson, Naples, Florida; his mother, Linda Donaldson, Dixon; one brother, Jesse Donaldson, Dixon; paternal grandmother, Marian MacDonnell, Naples, Florida; maternal grandmother, Alice M. Slack, Dixon; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Josh will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 11, 2013, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Interment will be in the Goodall Cemetery, near Newburg.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 P.M., Friday, May 10, 2013 and 10 – 11 A.M., Saturday, May 11, 2013, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
