Joseph Cudworth Duprey or affectionately known as Chubby, passed away on May 6, 2013 in Westborough, MA at the age of ninety.

Joseph was born in Worcester, MA to Alfred and Esther Duprey on March 23, 1923 and was one of five children. During the invasion of Normandy in WWII, he was severely wounded, being the only member of his platoon to survive a direct mortar shell hit. Awarded the Purple Heart Medal, he spent a year in an English hospital before returning home.

After the war, he worked as a foreman at the Harrington & Richardson Firearms Company in Worcester for many years, which he left with an ambition to own his own fleet of taxicabs. He did that by forming a partnership with a group of friends called "The Association of Seven", TAOS. The fleet of taxicabs were eventually sold and they purchased Chubby's Liquors in Hudson, MA. Joseph eventually bought out his friends and owned Chubby's until his retirement.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Victoria, two brothers, Phillip and Robert, sister, Margaret, son-in-law Charlie Grimmett, and grandson Todd Duprey.
