ANTHONY CATAPANO Anthony Catapano, 80 of Las Vegas passed away April 25, 2007. He was born Dec. 18, 1926, in New Haven, Conn. Anthony was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired in 1978 and moved to Las Vegas. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Catapano; mother, Theresa (DePino) Catapano; and sister, Ann Davis. Anthony is survived by his wife, Elaine, of Las Vegas; sons, Anthony Jr. and Walter of Connecticut; daughters, Laurie Catapano, Barbara DeRosa of Connecticut and Stacey Catapano of Las Vegas; stepdaughters, Lori Ayer and Sheryl Brothers of Connecticut; eight grandchildren; and brother Andrew (Virginia) Catapano of Connecticut; sisters, Madaline Casale of Las Vegas, Virginia Amarone, Viola Piscatelli and Josephine Picone, all of Connecticut; and a loving extended family and many friends. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, with full military honors, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City.
