Body Was Paralyzed From Neck Down, After Car Wreck.
---Mrs. Richard Boley, 17, of 800 N. New Street, who received extensive injuries in an automobile accident near New Cambria early Sunday morning died at 4:17 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Grim-Smith Hospital.
---Mrs. Boley was going to Brookfield to visit her sister when the accident occurred. Herbert H. Howe, of Kirksville, was driving the automobile which was badly damaged. Another occupant of the car, Mrs. Dorothy Dodson, who also lives at 800 N. New Street, received several broken ribs, cuts and bruises.
---Mrs. Boley suffered a fracture and dislocation of her neck. Her body was almost completely paralyzed below her neck.
---Mrs. Boley, who was Georgia Wheeler before her marriage, was born Oct. 10, 1925, at Milan, the daughter of Clarence and Pearl (Clark) Wheeler. She attended the public schools there until moving with her parents to Kirksville six years ago. A former student at the Junior high school here, Mrs. Boley had completed her second year at the Kirksville Senior High School.
---On Dec. 24, 1941, she was married to Richard Boley, now a private 1st class in the Army, stationed at Camp Roberts, Calif. Pfc. Boley arrived here early this morning. Besides her husband, and parents, who live at 507 W. Illinois Street, Mrs. Boley is survived by an 11-month-old daughter, Connie Kay; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Banning, of Brookfield, and Mrs. Gladys Hatfield, of Beaverton, Ore., and the following brothers, Sammie Hatcher, of 507 W. Illinois Street; Herbert Hatcher, of La Plata; Wallace Hatcher, of Royal Oak, Mich.; Charles Hatcher, of Milan, and Edsel Poole, of Mason City, Ia.
