Warren Otis McCuaig went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at the age of 96. He was born in Wahkon, Minnesota on September 11, 1916. In 1949, he married Marjorie Mary Seaman at Redwood Falls, Minnesota. They resided in Minnesota until 1963, when they moved their family to Jackson, California. Warren taught High School Typing, Shorthand, and Bookkeeping courses at Jackson High School until he retired in 1984. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church and served Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior since he accepted Christ at the age of 12. To quote Warren, "The lesson I have learned from my life is the importance of bringing children up to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. It gives them a relationship with Almighty God who guides us through a purposeful and satisfying life and later gives us everlasting life." Warren served his country in WWII and the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant in the Army/Air Force and as a Medic in the Office of the Surgeon, 4th Air Force. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie McCuaig in 1996. Warren is survived by his daughters Janice Christy of Onalaska, WA, Linda Martin of Erie, PA, Sandra Astwood of Corcoran, CA, Debbie McDaniel of Rancho Mirage, CA, his son Michael McCuaig of Jackson, CA, his sister Lorraine Melugin of Fort Worth, TX, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at the First Baptist Church in Jackson.
