He was born May 9, 1932, in Boone County, Iowa.
He served in the United States Air Force.
Marion is survived by one son, Brad Hanks of Rogers, Ark.; one daughter, Beth Ingraham of North Missouri; several grandchildren; and a good friend, Betty Carter.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Oakley Chapel Cemetery, with the Rev. Zach Underwood officiating.
