He was born Feb. 13 in Santa Rosa to Jimmy Abbott and Elaine Patterson. In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Lisa Marie Abbott, of Chico; his paternal grandmother, Katherine Abbott of Chico; and his maternal grandparents, Jack and June Powell of Chico. The Rev. Thomas Dermody of St. John’s Catholic Church will preside at the funeral.
