Mr. Sanders died Friday morning at his home after a brief illness. He was a native of Lincoln County and a son of the late Alton B. and Era Arnold Sanders. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Lou Cowan Sanders; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Kay George of Fayetteville and Mrs. Dottie Lou Arnold of Sewanee; two sons, James Alton Sanders of Rogersville and John E. Sanders of Nashville; one sister, Mrs. Linda Ruth Cope of Lewisburg; and two brothers, Dean Sanders and Billy Sanders, both of Fayetteville.
