ELKHORN- Hattie C. Prue, age 97, formerly of 105 S. Washington Street, died December 1, 1998 at Lakeland Nursing Home. She was born in a log cabin on June 8, 1901 in Pound, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ferdinand and Minnie (Behling) Hanneman.

Hattie was married to William Baumgarten from 1924 to 1943; Oscar Brons from 1946 to 1968, and Walter Prue in 1969.
Hattie worked as a seamstress for dry cleaners in Arlington Heights, IL for over 20 years, retiring in 1963.

Hattie is survived by her three children: Jean (Dwain) Hart of Elkhorn, WI; Jerry (Dolores) Baumgarten of Crystal Lake, IL and Janet Bello of Willernie, MN;
12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Fred, Willie and Louis and three sisters: Annie, Martha and Mary.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m December 4, 1998 at Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home in Elkhorn with Rev. Gerald Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens, Town of Delavan, WI.
