DeCow, Martha May (Monroe), 87, World's Most Awesome "Grandma" passed away at the Life Care Center of Wichita on Friday, May 17, 2013.

Martha was born in Oswego, KS on Jan. 7, 1926. She graduated from Oswego High School in 1943. She married Virgil Lee DeCow on July 28, 1946. They were married 66 years. Martha was active in her church and in her children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's lives.

Martha is survived by her husband, Virgil of the home, children, Jim of Prosper, TX, Glenn (Shelley) of Princeton, TX, Greg (Stephanie) of Parson, KS, and Janet (Terry) Yost of Coffeyville, KS; grandson, Joshua (Violeta) Yost of Edinburg, TX; granddaughters, Nicole (Adam) Tidwell of Dallas, TX, Molly (Brian) Hunt of Princeton, TX, Christina (Tyler) Armstrong of Scotts Bluff, NE, and Elisabeth (Jake) Frisbie of Wichita, KS; great-grandchildren, Alejandra, Alex, Nicholas, and Malissa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Earl and Josephine (Belnap) Monroe and granddaughter, Melissa Yost.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013, at the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 3700 E. Mt. Vernon, Wichita, Kansas 67218.
