Mark W. Meyers, 74, of Friendship Village Road, Chambersburg, Pa., died at 2:16 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 24, 1938, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late H. Norman and Edna (Wingert) Meyers. He married Lyndell E. (Myers) Meyers on Oct. 14, 1961, in the old Antrim Brethren in Christ Church near Greencastle. Mark was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was a member of the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church near Chambersburg where he was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class, former trustee, building committee member and church board member.
In his earlier years he was active in the 4 –H Club and enjoyed cutting firewood. Mark enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida and also doing woodworking in his later years. He was a 1956 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Surviving family in addition to his wife are two daughters Carolyn S. George and husband Travis of Greencastle, Beth A. Halsey and husband Adam of Water Mill, N.Y.; two sons Alan L. Meyers and wife Kendra, Ivan R. Meyers and wife Mishele, all of Greencastle; three sisters, Norma Grove, Judy Lebo, Debra Stayman, all of Greencastle; one brother Jaye Meyers of Greencastle; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at 10 a.m. in the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 E. Kauffman Road, Chambersburg, with Revs. Ky R. Searcy and Garnet H. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery, Kauffman. The family will receive friends in the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church on Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Nicole Lebo Johns Medical Fund c/o First National Bank of Mercersburg, 821 S. Washington St. Extended, Greencastle, Pa. 17225.
Arrangements are being handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
