C. Frederick "Fred" Dykins of Plainfield died Tuesday in the Plainfield Healthcare Center. He was 80.
He was born January 18, 1932, in Anderson, Indiana. Mr. Dykins was a longtime educator who taught in California, Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana before retiring in 2007. His memberships included Plainfield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Squires Dykins; a son, Chuck Dykins; a daughter, Becky (Mark) Rottmann; grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, and Korbin Dykins and Stephanie and Harper Rottmann; several nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
A private family memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Hall-Bake Funeral Home in Plainfield is in charge of arrangements.
