Winston-Salem- Mr. James “Jimmy” Arthur Eddinger Sr., 85, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 6, 1933 in Forsyth County, the son of William and Mabel Paton Eddinger. He was a long-time member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church serving faithfully on many committees over the years. Jimmy enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball, the Duke Blue Devils and could make anything in his shop. His sense of humor and his enjoyment for life will be missed by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Eddinger and his siblings, Bill Eddinger, Jack Eddinger, Bob Eddinger, Jerry Eddinger, Betty Jane Ketchie and Gladys Blair. Survivors include his two sons, Jamey Eddinger of Winston-Salem and Keith Eddinger and wife, Renee of Denton; two grandsons, Daniel Eddinger and wife, Joni of Thomasville and Matthew Eddinger of Winston-Salem; a sister, Ann Lambeth of Winston-Salem and three great-grandchildren, Riley Eddinger, McKenna Eddinger and Henry Eddinger. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 4:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, October 1, 2018 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
