FORMER SHERIFF GETS LAST CALL
Fred M. Jennings Dies at Home After Brief Illness; Official from 1907-1914

Fred M. Jennings, sheriff of San Diego county from 1907 to 1914, died at his home, 4127 Palmetto Way, yesterday after a short illness.
Mr. Jennings was a native of Ohio and was 68 years old.
The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida B. Jennings, three sons, E.R. Jennings of San Diego, William H. Jennings of Los Angeles, and Frank N. Jennings of El Cajon; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Bailey of El Centro, Mrs. Luella Miller of Fullerton, Mrs. Sue J. Miller of Holtville, and Mrs. Belle J. Benchley of San Diego; a brother, F.S. Jennings of San Diego and a sister, Mrs. W.A. Smith of San Diego.
Friends are invited to the funeral services at the Johnson-Saum undertaing establishment tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
