Julia and Leonard married in Gorham on January 5, 1859. She married 2nd James A. Perkins. She and James Perkins are buried in the Perkins family plot without a headstone. Her parents and several of her brothers; as well as her son, Humphrey Newcomb and grandchildren are buried near her, as well as her first husband, Leonard Newcomb.
