Isabell is the daughter of Bruno and Ella (Preuss) Gebhard. She lived her very early life in South Dakota, before moving to Wisconsin when she was 2 years old. She lived for a while in Ashippun where she met and married a wonderful man Harold Uhlman. They farmed for many years before moving to "town". They had 2 children.

Isabell was a lovely woman, strong and industrious, while at the same time kind and gentle. She could do anything she put her mind to. She was a wonderful gardener and an amazing cook. She and Harold, her husband of 63 years, had a wonderful life together, and I don't think 2 people could ever have loved each other as much as they did.

Whenever we visited Grandma we received much love and affection, along with a delicious baked good or some other type of home-made goodie. Upon leaving you always received a hug, a kiss, and a "Grandma loves you."
