Line of Duty Death.
HFD member 1917 - 1931. And
May 1932 - June 1932.

Killed on duty when the engine he was riding on, Engine 14, collided with a street car at 17th Street and Yale Street. Two other firefighters were injured in the incident. Firefighter Rusk was transported to Heights Clinic and passed away later in the day.

Survived by his wife, daughter Miss Elizabeth Rusk and three sons, Hunter, Raymond and Archie. All of Houston at the time.

Funeral services were held at Fogle-West Chapel in Houston with Reverend Hoffman officiating. Active pallbearers were Captain G. J. Wolff, C. Perry. W. Morhansen, W. F. Crawford, C. N. Dickey and R. K. Tennison.
