Sudden Death of Mrs. Maria Anders
Mrs. Maria J Anders died at the home of her son, J. A. Anders southwest of town early Wednesday morning. Mrs. Anders had, apparently been in fair health, but Tuesday contracted a slight cold and during the night had been somewhat restless, although not to the extent of causing alarm as to the seriousness of her condition, the end coming quickly and before a physician could be summoned to the bedside. She was in advanced years, having reached her eighty-first year in the month of February. During the past five years she had made her home with her son, they having come here from Nebraska. The remains were taken to the Jackson undertaking parlors at Sterling for preparation for shipment to Hastings, Nebraska, where interment will be made. The sympathy of the community is extended to the sons in their loss.
