Mr. Rex Arnold Parrish, 66, of Valley died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001 at LaFayette Extended Care in LaFayette.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, with the Rev. Stanley Duke officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfax Cemetery.

Mr. Parrish is survived by two sons, Bobby (Dianne) Parrish and Michael Parrish, both of Valley; three daughters, Patricia (Benny) Ficquette of Dade City, Fla., Linda Parrish of Valley and Susan (Roger) Orr of Jasper, Ga.; his brother, Roger (Dorothy) Parrish of Valley; and eight grandchildren.

Born Sept. 29, 1934 in Alabama, Mr. Parrish was an accomplished carpenter who loved to spend time in his garden. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Chattahoochee Hospice in his memory.

The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 17 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
