Barbara A. Austin, 76, Anderson, passed away Feb. 21, 2018, at Community Northview Care Center. She was born Dec. 12, 1941, in Muncie, the daughter of Leo and Pearl (Stephenson) Lamb, and lived in the area her entire life. Barbara married Frank Austin on July 10, 1960, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2017. She was a member of the Degree of Pocahontas 420, the Ladies Auxiliaries of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 260, AMVETS 692 and American Legion Post 408. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Judy) Austin, Kelly (Laura) Austin and Vikki (Leroy) George; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to Frank, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debbie Knight; son, Jonnie Austin; and brother, Arthur Lamb. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Rick Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Walk Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
