Sarah M. Parsons, 70, of Claridge, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, in Mercy Jeannette Hospital. She was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Paul and Edna Heminger Brant. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a custodian for Penn-Trafford School District. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Joey and David; and a brother, George Brant. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wilbur N. Parsons; four sons, Bill N. Parsons and wife, Debra, of Penn, Robert J. Parsons and wife, Janet, of Lexington, S.C., Donald N. Parsons and wife, Kathleen, of Claridge and John H. Parsons, of Claridge; a stepson, Ernest Parsons and wife, Shirley, of Greensburg; a daughter, Cindy M. Dowdrick and husband, David, of Claridge; seven grandchildren, James, Jennifer, Joshua, Sarah, Shelia, Tammy and Wendy; a great-granddaughter, Gabriella; five brothers, Paul Brant, of North Huntingdon, Elmer Brant, of Harrison Park, Charles Brant, of Jeannette and Raymond and Jerry Brant, both of Penn; and two sisters, Mildred Gehreke, of Washington, Pa., and Nancy Bozich, of Jeannette. Friends will be received at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Harrison City, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Robin S. Keating officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Penn Township.
