The Death of Attorney Fleet Cox brought sincere sorrow to his large circle of relatives and friends here. He had been in failing health for a year of more, and left his home in Baltimore to spend Christmas with his sister and brother at Mrs. Downing Cox's home in Washington. He was unwell when he reached Washington and although he had the best doctors and trained loved ones to tenderly and lovingly nurse him he daily grew weaker and died on Jan. 8, 1927, Mr. Cox was the eldest son of our late Col. F. W. Cox and his wife Mary. He was born in and grew to manhood in this county. Thrown on his resources early in life, he was untiring in his labors and self denial until he graduated in law at Maryland University. He made his home and practiced his profession in Balt. He never married and his remains were brought back to be buried in Old Yeocomico Cemetery.


Will
The will of Fleet W. Cox, probated yesterday in the Orphans' Court, distributed his entire estate among relatives and friends. A gold watch and a sword given him by his father, were bequeathed to his nephew, James W. Cox. Other specific bequests in the will were $100. to Mr. Cox's niece, Kathleen Fox, and $150 to Thomas D. Hurtt and wife. The residue of the estate is to be divided equally among Mr. Cox's cousin, Nannie B. Brown, His sister, Brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece. Letters on the estate were granted to John T. Willis of Baltimore, and Mr. Cox's brother, G. Dudley Cox, of Acorn VA They were named as executioners and bonded for $6,000. the estimated value of the estate. Mr. Cox, who was formerly an assistant State's Attorney, Died Jan. 8, 1927.
