Mr. Bishop was the husband of the late Louise R. Bishop and was the son of the late Elijah and Martha Bishop.
Uncle Frank served 4 tours of duty in Vietnam and retired from the United States Air Force at the rank of Master Sergeant.
Survivors include a daughter, Lena Nicholson; stepchildren, Joe Michael Ingram, Phyllis Hargis, and Mona Ann Ingram; brothers, Howard Bishop and Cleve Bishop; sisters Shirley Edmonds and Thelma Henderson; a sister-in-law, Peggy Bishop; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Barry Bishop and his wife Louise; two brothers, Thomas D. Bishop and William E. Bishop; and two sisters, Elizabeth Green and Jane Towery.
Memorial services were 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Gassett Funeral Home in Wetumpka, AL.
Cremains were laid to rest at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL.
