Doris M. Beranek, Former Ord resident, 69
Doris M. Beranek, 69, of Fremont, formerly of Ord, died May 23, 2000 at Alegent Health Hospice House in Omaha.
Services were at 9:30 am, May 26 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Graveside services followed at the Ord Bohemian Cemetery with Father Jim Warner officiating.
Mrs. Beranek was born July 30, 1930 at Ord, the daughter of Adolph and Agnes (Dusek) Beranek. She grew up at Ord and graduated from Ord High School in 1948. She received her Bachelor of Education Degree from Kearney State College. She married Philip Mrsny on Sept. 17, 1950 at Ord. She taught in rural and city schools in the Ord area for 38 years. She retired in 1992 and moved to Fremont in 1994. Mr. Mrsny preceded her in death. On Dec. 6, 1994 she married Amiel Lou Beranek at Fremont.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Beranek is survived by her husband, Amiel of Fremont; four stepsons, David Beranek of Pine Bluff, AR, Rodney Beranek of Fairbury, Ken Beranek of Cedar Bluffs and Roger Beranek of Fremont; one stepdaughter, Diane (Mrs. Tom) Malesa of Omaha; and 11 step-grandchildren.
