Case Michael Futrell was born Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Norman Regional Hospital to Megan and Cody Futrell, and big brother, Kanon Lee Futrell. Case was an incredibly happy baby boy. Case would always greet his family by lighting up the room with his laughter. He rolled over for the first time recently. Big brother Kanon loved his little brother; Case would smile when he saw his brother come into the room. Case had a nickname of Monkey; he had long toes, and the family said he had monkey toes.
Case passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, in Moore, Oklahoma, in his mother's arms. He was preceded in the death by great-grandfathers, A.J. Richards and Jerry Norbury. Surviving family include his father, Cody Michael Futrell; and brother, Kanon Lee Futrell; grandparents, Rick and Debbie Miller, and Kathryn Lawes; Uncles Calvin and Jack Miller; Aunts Kasidy Futrell and Stacey Futrell Emerick; great-grandparents, Carolynn Norbury and Jerry and Mary Miller; and great-grandparents, Jim and Vickie Newman, and Faye Richards. Visitation will be available at Vondel L Smith Mortuary, 6934 S. Western Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27 during regular business hours.
Services for Megan and Case Futrell will be on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 2727 S.W. 119 Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be immediately following at Heritage Burial Park at South Lakes, 4000 S.W. 119 Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with the Rev. D.A.Bennett officiating.
