We often look for his face in a crowd and look down the hall to see if he's perched on his favorite trash can.
We wonder if the CU football games are broadcast and if the color is as good in the great end zone as it is on our set at home.
We think of all the Nebraska jokes he told and wonder if the Cornhuskers he's met give him as much trouble as we did.
We all lost a friend, a fellow athlete. We never told him "hey, I like you and you're fun to be with" We took his friendship for granted.
It seems unfair that we should have lost our classmate but for those who grieve, time will pass slowly, and for those of us who loved him, time is eternity.
We will go on and strive to achieve our goals, but we must carry with us the memories of good times together and try never to take anyone for granted again.
We were always inspired by his cheerful perspective on life and his ability to accomplish everything he attempted.
We, his friends, will ever remember his smile. Something so special it will never fade away.
