Sarah M Anable was born about 1825 in Franklin, Delaware, New York, the daug. of John Anable of Conn. and Dorothia Whitney of Vermont. She married 1st a Mr. Greene, prob. in Delaware Co. NY, and likely had children by him. After Mr. Greene's death, she married my 2nd ggfather, John Anthony in Afton, NY at the home of C. G. Greene, (has to be a close relative of hers) on June 30th, 1888 in Afton. They were married by Rev. N. B. Ripley. Her funeral ws held Wed. 26 Jan. in the Methodist E. Church with Rev. C. D. Shepard officiating. She was 67 years of age. She died of a heart attack after Medical aid was summoned, but she died in 10 minutes. This, unfortunately, was while John Anthony her husband was not home. They lived on Railroad Ave., in Afton and she died early Monday evening. Article was in the Afton Enterprise Newspaper Jan 26th 1893. She had been married to her husband, John Anthony a little over 4 years.
