2nd Lt. U.S. Army, {36028961,02024229}, World War II-Lt. Anderson was killed in action by small arms fire on 6-1-1945 while serving with Co. C of the 108th Engineering Battalion, 33rd Infantry Division.

He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Walter Anderson of RFD #1 Carney, Michigan.

He enlisted in Chicago, Illinois on April 23, 1941.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Pacific Campaign Medal with Two Battle Stars, American Defense Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal.

Footnote: His body was returned to American soil for burial on August 13, 1948.
